Job Summary

Educator Preparation Programs (EPP) Department is currently looking to hire several individuals who have experience as a faculty member in a higher education setting. Applicants with Multiple Subject and Special Education credentials, including SLP, and teaching experience highly desired.

EPP Teacher Credentialing Adjunct Faculty Job Description

The Educational Preparation Programs (EPP) continuously welcome applications for Part-Time/Adjunct Faculty positions, unless otherwise specified, and will add them to our application pool for review. Should you be selected for further consideration, an EPP representative will reach out to schedule an interview.

Courses are scheduled for evenings and Saturdays, conducted entirely virtually via Zoom. Each course incorporates both asynchronous and synchronous virtual instruction. Please specify the credentialing program you are applying for in your application materials. If you are qualified to teach in multiple credential areas, kindly indicate so in your application and provide reasons for your suitability.

  • Special Education:
    • Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN)
    • Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
    • Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
    • Dual Credential (MMSN/Multiple Subject)
  • PK-3
  • Single Subject Science
  • Single Subject Math



Position Purpose

EPP is currently seeking part-time instructors for all existing credentialing programs and those in development.

Duties and Responsibilities Specific to Position
  • Deliver courses in the assigned discipline with clear and effective communication of subject matter.
  • Adapt teaching methodologies for students with diverse learning styles and special needs.
  • Employ Best Practices of Adult Learning Theory.
  • Manage online teaching aspects using a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Exhibit sensitivity in working with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Engage in faculty responsibilities such as course development, assessment, and program review.
  • Participate in departmental and divisional faculty meetings.
  • Meet record-keeping obligations promptly.
  • Maintain and post current course syllabi.
  • Foster a professional work and learning environment.
