Job Description

Join FlexAI: FlexAI is at the forefront of revolutionizing AI computing by reengineering infrastructure at the system level. Our groundbreaking architecture, combined with sophisticated software intelligence, abstraction, and an orchestration layer, allows developers to leverage a diverse array of compute, resulting in efficient, more reliable computing at a fraction of the cost. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Architectural Modeling Engineer. Founded by Brijesh Tripathi and Dali Kilani , who bring experience from Nvidia, Apple, Tesla, Intel, Lifen, and Zoox, FlexAI is not just building a product – we’re shaping the future of AI. Our teams are strategically distributed across Paris, Silicon Valley, and Bangalore, united by a shared mission: to deliver more compute with less complexity. If you're passionate about shaping the future of artificial intelligence, driving innovation, and contributing to a sustainable and inclusive AI ecosystem, FlexAI is the place for you! Position Overview: FlexAI is seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Architectural Modeling Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of architectural models at the chip, system, and cluster levels for our AI compute systems. As a Senior Architectural Modeling Engineer, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with hardware engineers, software developers, system architects, and application specialists to ensure that the architectural models provide valuable insights into performance, power consumption, and design optimization. You will help refine architectural hypotheses and contribute to validating the system before hardware development begins. What you'll do: Design and develop architectural models for FlexAI's purpose-built AI compute systems. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define model requirements and design constraints. Optimize architectural models for efficient execution, ensuring fidelity with real systems within predefined tolerance levels. Integrate workloads and the FlexAI software stack on top of architectural models to enable software development prior to hardware availability. Conduct performance analysis and profiling of architectural models, identifying potential bottlenecks and areas for optimization. Contribute to technical discussions and provide insights into architecture design and modeling challenges. What you’ll need to be successful: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of experience in architectural modeling or simulation platforms, preferably with experience in AI or high-performance computing projects. Strong understanding of system-level challenges in AI compute systems, including network bandwidth, memory, and thermal considerations. Proficiency in C and C++ for high-performance SW development and Python for handling machine learning workloads and related tasks. Hands-on experience in performance analysis, profiling tools, and model validation techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and solving complex system-level challenges. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across hardware, software, and systems teams. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior software engineers. Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments. Bonus Points: Experience in AI hardware or deep learning workloads. Familiarity with performance modeling tools, simulators, or architectural exploration platforms. Experience in start-up environments or working with early-stage technologies. What we offer: A competitive salary and benefits package, tailored to recognize your dedication and contributions. The opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in AI and cloud computing, learning from the best and the brightest, fostering continuous growth. An environment that values innovation, collaboration, and mutual respect. Support for personal and professional development, empowering you with the tools and resources to elevate your skills and leave a lasting impact. A pivotal role in the AI revolution, shaping the technologies that power the innovations of tomorrow. Offices: Our teams are strategically distributed across three continents—Europe, North America, and Asia—united by a shared mission: to deliver more compute with less complexity.
