Project Role

· The Department of OMNI Bioinformatics within Client's Research and Early Development is seeking a highly talented and motivated computational biologist to analyze large-

· scale clinical single-cell data to develop therapeutic hypotheses for complex human diseases.

· The successful candidate will collaborate closely with computational and wet lab scientists across multiple departments and contribute intellectually to the ongoing research projects.

Responsibilities

· Perform computational analyses to identify cells, genes, and pathways associated with clinical outcomes using single cell data.

· Perform computational analyses to understand the differentiation trajectories of cells associated with clinical outcomes.

· Perform computational analyses to understand the gene regulatory networks active in cells associated with clinical outcomes.

· Collaborate closely with other computational and wet lab scientists.

· Contribute intellectually to the ongoing research projects.

· Present regularly during team meetings

Education

· Education level: PhD (preferred), M.S.

· Preferred majors/disciplines: Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field

Qualifications

· Background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field

· Proficiency in R, Python, Unix, and Git

· Experience with performing statistical analysis.

· Experience with analyzing single-cell RNA-seq

· Experience with bioinformatics analysis tools such as Seurat and Scanpy

· Experience with working on High Performance Computing clusters.

Nice-to-Have Expertise

· Familiarity with AI/Client methods for processing scRNA-seq data

· Familiarity with trajectory and single-cell velocity analysis using scRNA-seq data.

· Familiarity with gene regulatory network analysis using scRNA-seq data.

· Familiarity with workflow development tools, such as Snakemake or Redun
