Job Description

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with a strong commitment to leveraging technology in litigation, is seeking an eDiscovery Specialist to join their growing litigation support team. The ideal candidate will bring significant eDiscovery experience—preferably in a law firm setting—and strong expertise in Relativity in particular. This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire EDRM spectrum, supporting litigation teams with data processing, database configuration, production workflows, and analytics, all while collaborating closely with attorneys and the eDiscovery Director. This full-time role is primarily remote, but candidates should be based in Florida and able to go in occasionally to one of the firm's offices (offices are throughout Florida).

Position Summary
The eDiscovery Specialist will be expected to conduct eDiscovery tasks related to all parts of the EDRM, including processing, extracting, converting, manipulating and producing eDiscovery data utilizing eDiscovery software and forensic tools. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, with the expectation that the eDiscovery Specialist will handle ongoing data tracking projects for the firm as well as provide litigation support assistance to the firm’s practice groups.

Education and/or Experience
  • Significant eDiscovery experience at a law firm or discovery service provider; law firm experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in eDiscovery software (Relativity experience is required; DISCO experience is a plus)
  • Industry and software certifications (CEDS, RCA, etc.) strongly preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with eDiscovery Director to provide case teams with optimal technology solutions for the collection and manipulation of data
  • Processes data to discovery databases, generate and analyze processing reports and review exceptions
  • Loads structured data to discovery databases, including understanding of and ability to parse and create DAT, OPT and Excel overlay files
  • Drafts search terms and search protocols through understanding of proper search syntax to identify pertinent documents, in consultation with firm attorneys
  • Prepares, runs and exports document productions, including preproduction, post-production and post-export quality control
  • Manages and maintains user access to discovery databases and provides technical support and training to database end users
  • Accumulates, manages and summarizes document review statistics and metrics
  • Configures databases, including preparation of review queues, coding layouts, and configuration and administration of analytics including email threading, deduplication, Active Learning and generative AI
  • Archives databases and restores archived databases, including quality control of the archive process
  • Uses SQL, MS Access, scripting languages, batch files, text editors and similar tools to convert, analyze and manipulate data
  • Assists with project files including preparing both internal and external memoranda as appropriate (as it relates to ongoing eDiscovery projects)
  • Supports vendor management, including ensuring deliverables meet requested specifications and are delivered on schedule and budget
  • Performs other assigned duties and projects as needed
