Job Description

We are seeking a Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil litigation, possess excellent organizational and research skills, and be able to work collaboratively with attorneys and other staff to support case preparation and management. Above all else, you must be an excellent communicator and highly motivated to learn. This is a full-time, in-office position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of civil litigation matters. Responsibilities include:

• Managing litigation and attorney calendars.
• Communicating with the court, counsel, vendors and clients;
• Preparing routine legal documents and correspondence.
• E-filing documents with courts
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Assisting with miscellaneous administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of the litigation process.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Office, Excel, E-filing Systems, and Outlook.
• Time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Familiarity with MyCase, InfoTrack, and OneLegal.
• Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system.
• Substantial experience in a similar quality law firm setting.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent relevant experience.
