Essential Job Functions of the Production Manager

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling the manufacturing processes.

• Ability to define new manufacturing processes parameters
• Streamline existing manufacturing processes
• Ensure proper functioning of processes and equipment
• Plan and schedule production activities and supervise the production process
• Ensure consistent and controlled production of products within established process times and quality standards
• Ensure maintenance of cost effective and high-standard production
• Monitor the production practices and set schedules as required
• Work with other managers effectively to execute the polices and goals of the organization
• Maintain and develop quality forms and work instructions in an AS9100 production environment
• Keep informed of health and safety strategies
• Distribute work orders to departments, denoting number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced
• Liaise with different departments to prevent or mitigate potential production delays
• Supervise and inspire a team of production workers

Education: Bachelor or Associate degree in a science/technology field is desired. High school diploma with relevant experience may be considered.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive production management experience.

Knowledge: Well-balanced technical background is desired. Detailed knowledge of a wide variety of processes is desired.

Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to safely weigh, mix and test ceramic and other materials and operate laboratory/manufacturing equipment. Some heavy lifting required.

Special Requirements: US citizenship is required.
