Working with our clients from the very beginning while guiding a dynamic team of engineers and technical support professionals is key to complete each task with excellence. Each Project Manager actively participates in professional associations (leadership roles) and community organizations to give back which is one of our core values. Daily responsibilities include performing watershed hydrologic analyses for planning, outfall master planning, flood control conveyance and detention facility design; performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using ArcGIS and other proprietary software for modeling; preparing proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates; preparing LOMR and CLOMR FEMA applications; preparing drainage report documents with tables and exhibits for submission to review agencies and addressing comments; leading and mentoring a dynamic group of technical professionals; engaging in proposal and client agreement development and execution; developing trusting professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders; respecting client timelines through effective coordination of project tasks, budgets and schedules; championing the professional development of each project team member; participating in the development of company design and production standards; being open to new ways of accomplishing goals; seeking guidance from other leaders; and giving back to the community by participating in professional associations and civic organizations. Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university; 7 years' experience managing a team and clients for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling projects; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to sit for P.E. in Texas within six months; proficiency with HEC-RAS steady, unsteady state modeling and HEC-HMS; proficiency with ARC-MAP and Civil 3D; Microstation and Geopak experience a plus; SWMM modeling experience a plus; experience with FEMA, CLOMR/LOMR submittal; experience with developing master drainage plans for land development projects; experience with DOT drainage studies; effective communication skills; proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory agencies; demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
