Job Description

This candidate will be responsible for planning and overseeing activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products, ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met.

 

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Product Quality Planning: Develop and implement quality plans for new products and processes.
  • Process Improvement/Error Proofing: Identify and implement strategies for process enhancement and error prevention.
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Manage supplier requests and criteria for production part approvals.
  • Problem Solving: Apply problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, A3) to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Supplier Quality/Development: Oversee and support supplier quality and development activities.
  • Core Quality Tools: Utilize essential quality tools to support and ensure quality standards.
  • Production Quality Support: Provide quality support throughout the production process.
  • Quality Metrics: Determine, track, and analyze quality metrics to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Quality Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive quality documentation.
  • Testing and Validation (DVP&R): Participate in design validation and verification testing.
  • Document Control: Manage and maintain control of quality-related documents.
  • Change Management: Support and manage changes to processes and systems as part of change management.
  • Quality Management System (QMS): Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Quality Reporting: Prepare reports, charting, and perform data analysis on quality performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality system.
  • Internal Audits: Participate in and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5+ years' of industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry
  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
  • Plastic Injection Molding Experience Preferred.
