RemX Recruiting firm is pleased to represent a growing Knoxville-based company as they build out their accounting team in preparation for growth & going public.

We are recruiting for a  BIG 4/LARGE NATIONAL CPA firm AUDITOR candidate (2-4 years experience) and  CPA  for a   SENIOR ACCOUNTANT   opportunity.

Current management is seeking someone who is interested in growing &  moving into a management role within a year.

This Senior Accountant will assist the team by handling the following responsibilities:

• Lead the  monthly close process , ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring appropriate classification and alignment with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee accounts payable processing, ensuring proper coding and alignment with FP&A and financial reporting.
• Perform and manage intercompany transactions, including reconciliations, eliminations, and consolidated reporting.
• Support both  internal and external reporting , including variance analysis, management reports, and Board materials.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the close process.
• Lead  audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and compliant execution.
• Assist in implementing scalable systems and processes for  public company readiness .
• Research and document technical accounting issues , including revenue recognition and equity transactions
• Prepare financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, Procurement, Legal, and Operations to ensure financial integrity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.

$100-110K +/- salary +10% bonus plus stock and great benefits offered.

HYBRID WORK MODEL 50/50  and very flexible. Great West Knoxville location and nice new office space.
