Job Description

Who are we?
Code Ninjas is the nations fastest-growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 7-14 learn coding and other STEM fundamentals in a fun, non-intimidating way by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and cant wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. Our core promise is that kids have fun, and parents see results. We believe in these words so much that its written on the walls in our center.

We're looking for a Summer Camp Director!
Are you a seasoned or aspiring educator with a flair for technology and a heart for fostering curiosity in young minds? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where innovation, learning and fun collide? Then step into the exciting role of our Summer Camp Director and lead the charge as we empower the next generation of tech heroes!

Responsibilities:
Lead the Dojo:

  • Oversee and mentor a small team of Camp Instructors and volunteers, fostering their development and ensuring consistent delivery of our engaging curriculum.
  • Set the tone for a positive and inclusive camp culture where every young coder feels valued, supported, and celebrated.
  • Provide instructional guidance and address any technical or education challenges Camp Instructors encounter.

Bring the existing camp curriculum to life!
  • Adapt weekly themes and create engaging activities within the established framework, igniting creativity and inspiring young coders to conquer coding challenges.
  • Ensure alignment with Code Ninjas' core values and learning objectives, maintaining a high standard of educational quality.
  • Continuously assess and improve camp experiences based on student feedback and performance data.

Master the Dojo Operations:
  • Manage day-to-day logistics, including schedules, equipment, supplies, and camp setup.
  • Liaise with parents and guardians to address inquiries and provide updates on their child's journey.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized learning environment.
  • Document camp activities through photos and videos for promotional purposes and internal feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, technology, or a related field preferred. College students and recent graduates with relevant coursework or experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Open to candidates with strong teaching experience and relevant skills, regardless of formal degree completion.
  • Demonstrated passion for coding and technology education, with a commitment to fostering learning in young minds.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and build positive relationships with instructors, students, and parents.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with a knack for problem-solving and navigating dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology tools and platforms, including video editing software.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay and a set schedule.
  • Join our close-knit, family-run operation where you'll feel genuinely supported and valued. We offer a collaborative environment where everyone's ideas are heard and celebrated.
  • The opportunity to design impactful learning experiences and shape the future of young coders.
Ready to unleash your inner coding sensei?
