Title: Ultrasound Technologist (General) Day Shift Travel

Summary:
Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join the Providence Health & Services system on a travel contract. This position provides diagnostic ultrasound services across general, OB/GYN, and limited vascular studies. Candidate must be able to float to similar units such as ER, NICU, and outpatient as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging per department protocols.
Support imaging for procedures such as amniocentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
Document exams in Epic and PACS; maintain exam quality and compliance.
Float between adult-focused hospital units including ER, NICU, and Outpatient.
Operate GE, Siemens, or Acuson ultrasound equipment.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient care continuity.
Key Requirements:
1+ year recent experience in a hospital-based ultrasound setting.
ARDMS registry in at least one of: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast, Fetal Echo.
Current AHA BLS certification.
Willingness to float to like units or between campuses.
Ability to work with diverse patient populations (Adult, NICU, Pediatrics, Outpatient).
Proficient in Epic and PACS systems (preferred).
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound experience in a hospital or acute care environment.
Experience in Level I Trauma and/or Teaching Hospital settings preferred.
License:
Active state Sonographer/Imaging license (if required by state).
No pending licenses accepted.
Skills:
OB/GYN imaging: 1st 3rd trimester, fetal anatomical surveys, NT screening.
General ultrasound: abdominal organs, small parts, breast, pediatric abdomen/pelvis.
Vascular imaging: carotids, venous/arterial Doppler studies, renal duplex.
Procedures: Paracentesis, thoracentesis, ultrasound-guided biopsy/FNA.
Equipment: GE, Siemens, Acuson; PACS system experience.
EMR: Epic (preferred).
